Brand History
Angelo’s restaurant was founded in 1939 by Giacomina and Angelo Passalacqua. This was a small tavern located on West Chestnut Street in Washington, Pennsylvania. The eatery became a very popular place for eating and drinking for the workers in that area. So, fresh Italian bread and traditional Italian spaghetti were introduced to the menu.
In the beginning, this restaurant was named The West Chestnut Spaghetti Inn, and being located close to Route 40, which was a major highway in the period, became popular among travelers as well. The friendliness of the staff and the tasty spaghetti made West Chestnut Spaghetti Inn the most popular eatery in the city.

In 1958 the name of the restaurant was changed to Angelo’s along with adding a full menu and redecoration. During the ’60s and ’70s, the restaurant was in its best period.
In 1981 the menu of the restaurant went through some changes and they started to serve seafood and a lot of fresh veal.
Nowadays Angelo’s has only one location in Pennsylvania, which is not the original restaurant. In 2008 they moved to a new location.

The Angelo’s restaurant is somewhere between casual dining and fine dining, with a warm sit-down ambiance. A casual outfit would be just right for a night out at this restaurant.
The Angelo’s menu consists of classic Italian food items such as pasta, pizza, panini, salads, sandwiches, and appetizers. Their pasta meals flavored with various spices and herbs are highly appreciated. Also, their bread is delicious and served warm. When talking about dessert, their gelato is very famous.
This restaurant offers both a lunch and dinner menu, along with a wine menu that includes the popular Lambrusco, Chianti, Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Prosecco, and many more.
Also, there is a Kid’s menu with food items that cost anywhere between $6 and $8. Some of these include chicken fingers and fries, ravioli with sauce, penne or linguini with meatball, and chicken parmigiana over pasta.
Be prepared to pay anywhere between $8 and $12 for an Angelo’s pizza. You will be able to choose between the classic Margherita, Monta Roma, Toscana, or Chicken Bruschetta, to name a few.
Sandwiches come in two forms, hot and cold. These are priced from $10 to $13 and include Veal Parmigiana, Eggplant Parmigiana, Salami, Meatball, Tuna Fish, Roast Beef, and many more. Salads cost anywhere between $7 and $21 and for a panini, you will have to pay around $13.
