Brand History

Ben and Jerry bough an old factory in 1980 and started to produce and distribute ice cream in pints. This was a real success and in 1981 they opened their first franchise in Shelburne, Vermont. In 1986, these two friends started the “cowmobile” campaign in order to increase their business. They drove all around the United States and offered free ice cream scoops.
