Childhood and teenage years

William Bradley Pitt was born on December 18, 1963, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and grew up in Springfield, Missouri. His mother was a school counselor, and his father was the manager of a transport company. He also has a brother and a sister, both younger than him.

Brad Pitt graduated from the University of Missouri, majoring in journalism. Before becoming an actor, he made a living as a limousine driver for strippers, delivering refrigerators and dressing up in a giant chicken costume for “El Pollo Loco” restaurants.
