Bryan is an American film and television producer, but he has also been his sister’s manager since she became famous, thus looking after the interests of the Spears family. In 2008, the father of three obtained in court the right to completely control the life of his sister, Britney, and he was paid the amount of $200,000 for the services rendered.
Britney Spears has struggled since childhood with bipolarity and anxiety, and these conditions appeared due to the pressures that her father always put on her. The star confessed in an interview to the international press that she was very happy when her parents divorced in 2002 and it was actually one of the best things that could happen to her, because before the two adults separated Britney was forced to witness all her parents’ arguments, at one point choosing to leave and move into her aunt’s trailer.
Career beginning and success
Britney Spears knew success as a child when, at the age of 11, she had her first televised appearance in a talent show.
After participating in the show “Star Search” in 1992, she continued her career in the television series called “The New Mickey Mouse Club” on the Disney Channel from 1993 to 1994, alongside names such as Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
In 1997, Britney signed a contract with the Jive record label, releasing her debut album “Baby One More Time” in 1999. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling over 30 million copies worldwide, 14 million in the US alone, becoming the best-selling album by a teenager of all time and helping Spears enter the Book of Records.
The success continued with the release of her second album titled “Oops!… I Did It Again”, turning the artist into a pop icon. At the same time, Britney was also the best-selling teenage artist of all time with over 50 million albums sold by the age of 20.
Mass media awarded her the honorary title of “Princess of Pop Music”.

Mental health problems and the Umbrella incident
Journalists from TMZ reported the scandals in the diva’s life, starting with the madness of 2007 when she shaved her head, attacked street photographers with an umbrella, gave in to alcohol, and was one step away from being permanently committed to a “lunatic asylum”.
Conservatorship
Britney Spears was placed under the legal conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears, in 2008 after the artist experienced a mental health crisis.
That controversial legal arrangement allowed Jamie Spears to take control of the artist’s finances and her professional decisions, as well as control a number of personal matters in her daughter’s life, including the ability to visit her teenage sons and get married.
After more than 13 years, in November 2021, the artist came out from under the tutelage of her father, who controlled her whole life, personal and artistic, him giving up everything in exchange for a fabulous amount of money, but also claiming that someone needs to take his place because Britney can’t take care of herself. Specifically, Jamie Spears wants Britney to pay him $1.3 million for lawyers, $500,000 for the singer’s former management company, and other additional amounts for himself.
Personal life
In 2000, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were the most sought-after couple in the pop music industry. After they broke up, Timberlake used the video for “Cry Me A River” to strongly suggest that he had been cheated on, which he later publicly denied.
After Justin Timberlake, Spears married her childhood friend Jason Alexander, a marriage that lasted for 55 hours, after which it was annulled.
Britney Spears hastily married dancer Kevin Federline in 2005, with whom she has two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. However, their divorce in 2006 was traumatic for both of them. According to the former couple’s prenuptial agreement, Federline received $1 million from Spears, plus $20,000 a month in child support (which was increased in September 2018).
In 2013, Spears ended her engagement with her manager, Jason Trawick, with TMZ reporting that Spears wanted more children and that Trawick did not. Other sources claimed that he was stressed about having to take care of Spears and needed a partnership with someone on an equal footing with him.
She was shown in 2014 with David Lucado, who was accused of cheating on her, then with Charlie Ebersol, with whom the relationship simply did not work out. Since 2016, Spears has been in a relationship with athlete and trainer Sam Asghari.
