Brand History

Chart House was founded by Buzzy Bent and Joey Cabell. They opened their first restaurant on July 4, 1961, in Aspen, Colorado. The first location was really modest, with only a few tables placed in a converted restaurant. Though, the founders followed two principles that insured their success: impressive views, and great food.

Every Chart House restaurant offers its customers a spectacular view while dining in. As a result, in 2012, the Chart House restaurant chain was listed ten times in OpenTable’s list of restaurants with the most scenic views. If you would like to enjoy dinner at one of their restaurants and take in not only the tasty food but also the great view, you can make a reservation through the OpenTable mobile app.

This restaurant is specialized in serving seafood meals and has a large lobster and shrimp menu. Their famous food items are the tempura shrimp and the well-known lobster rolls. But their menu also includes a featured filet mignon which is served along with Yukon gold mashed potatoes.

Chart House InsideChart House has a special menu called “2 Tempting” which is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. For only $10 you can order one starter and one drink. As for the starters you can choose between the Hummus Trio, the Wicked Tuna, the Kim Chee Calamari, the Boston Bay Mussels, or the Crab Cake.

Expect to pay anywhere between $15 and $28 for an entrée such as Fish and Chips, Bronzed Tilapia, Savory Shrimp Scampi, Short Ribs, Lobster Stuffed Scrod, or Coconut Crunchy Shrimp.

Plan on spending around $12 to $18 for a salad such as Orange Avocado Salad, Caesar Salad, Caprese Chicken Salad, or Blackened Salmon Caesar Salad. The soups cost $8 to $10 and include the Lobster Bisque, the Menage Soup, and the New England Clam Chowder soup.

The Chart House menu includes sandwiches as well, which cost $14 to $25. Some of these are the Mushroom Burger, the Blackened Chicken Sandwich, the Fried Boston Scrod Sandwich, the New England Lobster Roll, and the Crab Cake Sandwich.

As for the dessert, you should not miss their famous hot chocolate lava cake which is made with Godiva liqueur and served warm along with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. One of these costs around $14.
