Brand History
The history of Dutch Bros. Coffee starts in 1992 when Travis and Dane Boersma began to sell coffee from a pushcart by the railroad tracks in the downtown of Grants Pass, Oregon. These two brothers were dairy farmers and took the decision to purchase a hundred pounds of coffee and an espresso machine. Until they created the perfect blend, they have tried different coffee mixtures. When they believed they made the perfect combination they offered free one-month samples to family and friends to get their feedback.
After the positive feedback from family and friends, Travis and Dane Boersma opened their pushcart stand. It was a great success and suddenly more kiosks and stands started to appear in the city of Oregon.

The signature blend of the Dutch Bros is a three-bean roast that is prepared from the finest beans from Columbia, Brazil, and El Salvador. From the time it is picked from the field and until it gets into the cup, each bean is carefully treated. These are hand-ground, hand-blended, and hand-roasted. The belief of Dutch Bros’ is that the secret of a tasty cup of coffee is love, care, and quality beans.
The main focus of Dutch Bros is to spread good vibes and they put this attitude as a first priority. They want everyone involved in the process to be happy, from the farmers in the field to the employees and coffee roasters and at the end to clients.
Nowadays, there are more than 500 locations in 11 states, most of them in the Western part of the United States.
Our review
Dutch Bros’ company consists mostly of stands, kiosks, and drive-thru, even though there are some locations with an indoor seating area. These are easily recognized from one mile away due to their electric blue and white windmill décor. Sometimes, the queues may become really long, but the staff is very efficient and makes sure that the customers are served as quickly as possible.
The beverages served come in a large variety of flavors. There are options for both hot and iced drinks with flavors like White Chocolate Mocha, Annihilator, Cocomo, and Caramelizer. Also, they serve a few snacks, blended ice drinks, sodas, fruit smoothies, and infused teas.
Once you arrive at a Dutch Bros location you will be greeted by a friendly employee who will take your order and serve you are quick as possible in an outstanding manner. We recommend that you try their 911 drink, either hot or iced. This is a concoction made with 6 espresso shots of their own blend, a sugar kick, a coffee kick, and an intense flavoring of Irish Cream.
The prices charged by Dutch Bros are reasonable. For example, for a large drink, you will have to pay around $4.15, for a medium one around $3.75, and for a small one around $3.15.
Dutch Bros’ is the perfect place if you need a cup of good coffee or if you just need to cheer up.
