Brand history
The history of Fuzzy’s Taco Shop starts back in 2001 with Paul Willis who opened the first location on West Berry Street in Fort Worth, Texas, close to the campus of Texas Christian University. However, in 2003 the business was bought by Alan and Chuck Bush.
In 2007 the second Fuzzy’s Taco Shop location was opened in East Fort Worth. Following this the chain expanded rapidly through franchising. Most restaurants were located close to college campuses.
In 2012 the 50th Fuzzy’s Taco Shop restaurant was opened and just after four years, in 2016, was opened the restaurant with number one hundred. Currently, more than 150 restaurants are located in eighteen US states including Wyoming, Alabama, Virginia, Arizona, Texas, Arkansas, South Carolina, Colorado, Oklahoma, Florida, Ohio, Georgia, Missouri, Iowa, Mississippi, Kansas, Minnesota, and Louisiana.

Over time Fuzzy’s Taco Shop received many awards and recognitions. For instance, in 2017 it was included on Franchise Business Review’s “Top Franchises” list, and in 2021 Franchise Business Review ranked it as a Top Multi-Unit Franchise, Top Franchise for Culture, and Top Food Franchise. Also, in 2018 it was recognized in Nation’s Restaurant News #10 “Fastest Growing Chains”, and in 2021 in Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 Ranking.

You should plan on spending anywhere between $5 and $7 for a soup or starter such as Baja Tortilla Soup, Chips and Guacamole, Drunken Pig or Chips and Fire-Roasted Salsa. The burritos are priced at $8 to $9 and they are available in multiple varieties, like shredded chicken, fajita beef, special ground beef, grilled shrimp, spicy pork, fajita chicken, grilled fish, tempura fish, and shredded brisket.
