Brand History

The first Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar was opened in 2003, in Huntington Beach California. It was founded by Chris Simms, Gabe Caliendo, Steve Prince, and Roshan Mendis. This restaurant is well-known for its dog-friendly policies. They even have a particular menu specially made for dogs.

The name of the restaurant was intended to be “Rocky Mountain Café”, but the founder Chris Simms thought that this was too solemn and wanted a more “kid-friendly” name.

Nowadays, Lazy Dog has around 40 locations across eight states: Virginia, California, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, Colorado, and Texas.
