Brand history

Newk’s Eatery business was started in 2004 by Chris Newcomb, Don Newcomb, and Debra Bryson, the same team that built McAlister’s Deli. They opened the first Newk’s Eatery restaurant in Oxford, Mississippi, under the name “Newk’s Express Café”.

One year later, in 2005, they opened their first franchised location.

In 2013 the name of the restaurant was changed to “Newk’s Eatery” and a new, fresh design was implemented to their stores. However, their classic family recipes remained the same. That year they also opened another 14 locations.
