Brand History

The history of Razzoo’s Cajun Café starts back in 1991, in Dallas, Texas where the first restaurant was opened. It was founded by Michael Leatherwood, who noticed that there was a lack of knowledge and appreciation for the Louisiana cuisine. He was motivated by his respect and deep love for the Cajun culture to open a restaurant where are valued the bayou flavors.

The founder of this restaurant wanted to create a unique and bright experience, that can not be mistaken with any other eatery. So, he hired the great artist, George Toomer, to design the iconic, original Razzoo’s look.

Razzoo’s expanded over the years and nowadays there are more than 20 locations in Texas Oklahoma and North Carolina. All of these locations are company-owned.

Razzo’s menu includes a wide variety of tasty Cajun food items. Some of these include the Cajun soup Le Gumbeaux which costs around $8 and the Raw Salty Oysters which costs around $15.

Plan on spending anywhere between $7 and $11 for the appetizers. These include popcorn shrimp, fried green beans, fried pickle puckers, fried crawfish tails, Firemouth wings, and some more. The salads include the Caesar Salad and the Chopped Salad, which cost around $9.50.

For the Chef Bubba’s Specials, you will have to pay anywhere between $10 and $12. These include the Cajun Fried Chicken, the Jalapeno Catfish, the Cajun Fried Steak, the Chicky Dipper Basket, and the Andouille/Red Beanz ‘N’ Rice.

The fried seafood includes the Shrimp ‘N’ Cat Combo, the Fried Cat Basket, the Fried Shrimp Platter, the Fried Cat Platter, and the Shrimp Basket. Each of these costs $12 to $18.

If you would like to add some extras such as dirty rice, red beans, and rice, fried okra, or jambalaya rice to your meal, you will have to pay another $4.

Razzoo’s also served pasta dishes such as the Blacken’d Chicken or Spicy Shrimp Pasta and the Jambalaya Pasta, which costs $14 to $16.

If you are going to Razzoo’s for the first time, it is recommended to try their special Pimiento Cheeseburger, which is made of cheese pimiento sauce, fried onions, and bacon. Also, their special kid’s menu is very appreciated by the customers. This includes chicken strips, corndogs, and grilled cheese.
