Brand history

The history of Sakura Japanese Steak and Seafood House starts back in 1988 with the founder of this business, Marc Ha. He opened his first restaurant in Fredericksburg, a small town in Virginia.

At that time the restaurant had only seven Hibachi tables and Marc worked both as a manager and as a chef. Also, he had a job at the Naval Base in Dahlgren, Virginia as a computer programmer.

Sakura restaurant was very appreciated by the customers and they kept coming back for more. Thanks to this success the business expanded and new locations were opened all over the United States. Also, Consumer Reports Magazine ranked Sakura second in the Best Asian Restaurant in the United States list.

The food served here is made of the freshest ingredients and is prepared by chefs in front of the customers. Moreover, every meal is well presented and comes in a good serving size.

In case you didn’t go yet to Sakura and you don’t know what to order, you should try their Luck Clover Salmon and the Salmon Skin Roll. Also, the Shrimp Tempura Appetizer and the Hamachi Carpaccio are the customers’ favorites.

You should be prepared to pay around $7 for an appetizer such as Shrimp Tempura, Edamame, Spring Roll, Vegetable Tempura, or Gyoza.
