Brand history

The Boiling Crab was founded by the couple Sinh Nguyen and Dada Ngo in 2004. Their first location was opened in Garden Grove, California. Since its launch, The Boiling Crab opened more than 20 restaurants all over the United States alone in states such as Washington, Florida, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Nevada, and Texas.  Also, they went international and opened locations in Melbourne and Shanghai.

The Boiling Crab restaurants have a simple design, with pirate-like decorations, TVs that air channels in general sort, and nice music.

The Boiling Crab SeafoodTheir fried seafood is tender and crispy and is always served sizzling hot. Also, the crab meat is sweet and well-seasoned. Moreover, the beers and cocktails match their tasty food perfectly.

The Boiling Crab offers more than mouthwatering food, a unique dining experience, for example. The seafood is not served on plates as you would expect. Instead, it is served in a plastic bag which is placed inside a bucket and the bucket is put right on your table. Also, the clients receive an oversized bib so as not to get sauce splatters on themselves while eating.

The Boiling Crab offers its clients the possibility to choose their preferred seafood, level of spice, flavor, and extras. It is recommended to try their Fried Shrimp Basket flavored with their famous Rajun Cajun.

You will have to follow three steps when deciding what to order. First, you need to choose your catch, which may be blue crab, oysters, Dungeness crab, King crab legs, Snow crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, clams, or mussels. Secondly, you have to decide on the flavor as you have more options such as Rajun Cajun, lemon pepper, garlic sauce, or the Whole Sha-Bang. Finally, you will have to say how spicy the food has to be – non-spicy, mild, medium, or X, which is so spicy that you cannot feel your mouth.

In general, there is a waiting line at the majority of their locations because the main concept of The Boiling Crab restaurant is to eat buckets of seafood without using any utensils. Plus, their prices are reasonable and affordable.
