Childhood and career beginning
Tom Brady was born in San Mateo, California on August 3rd, 1977.
Brady graduated from high school in 1995 and was then a big name in the junior football leagues. Despite being a standout player in school, Brady stayed away from the football field for most of his first two years in college, studying hard. As a junior, he returned to sports and played for the varsity team as the starting quarterback.
Tom Brady began his professional career in the NFL in 2000 when he was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round, where Tom served mostly as a backup and only got to play one game in the entire season.
Fox Sports deal
American football superstar Tom Brady will be Fox Sports’ main expert in commenting and analyzing NFL championship games when he retires from this sport. Fox did not disclose the duration or amount of this contract, but according to the New York Post, Tom Brady would be paid $37.5 million per year for 10 years.
That would be more than his annual salary with the Buccaneers, which was around $30 million last season. It would also be a record in the history of sports channels, which have long integrated former players, especially quarterbacks, into their commentary teams with multimillion-dollar contracts.
Personal life
Tom Brady and Giselle Bundchen met in 2006 on a “blind date” and together form the image of the American dream: him, a complete athlete, with an astronomical salary and a series of records that entitle him, in the opinion of some, to run for the title of the greatest athlete in history, and her, the most sought after and the highest paid international model for the last 15 years in a row.
Not everything was great at first between the two, with the Tampa Bay quarterback already having a son with actress Bridget Moynahan when he met the gorgeous Gisele.
But Brady and Bundchen overcame the initial hurdles of their relationship and tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in 2009, before welcoming their two children, Benjamin and Vivian, into the world.
Though, in 2022 Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen appear to be headed for a final split. They both hired divorce lawyers. The two are considering how to divide their assets, which also include a property portfolio worth $26 million.
Gisele Bundchen would not have agreed with her husband’s decision to return to the American Football League, due to the busy competitive schedule that would keep him away from his family.
Real estate
The two stars have amassed a fabulous fortune thanks to their talent in the real estate business, through which they were able to sell the luxury villas they owned at prices far higher than what they paid to purchase them.
In 2014, Tom and Gisele sold their vacation home in Los Angeles to Dr. Dre for $50 million, double what they had paid for it a few years earlier.
Then they did the same with a house in New York, which had a view of the Hudson River Park, and which they gave for $40 million, as well as with one in Boston, which they parted with for the sum of $43 million.
In December 2020, the pair purchased a $17 million home on Miami’s Indian Creek Island, dubbed the “Billionaires Bunker,” and planned to demolish the 5,172-square-foot, five-bedroom mansion and build a new one. But work has recently stalled on the property amid the couple’s marital problems.
The couple also owns a luxury apartment at 70 Vestry St. in Tribeca, valued at $3.6 million, as well as a $5.7 million property at the Yellowstone Club in Montana by developer Mike Meldman. Gisele Bundchen’s favorite property is believed to be their home on the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica, where the family often vacations.
