Brand History
The history of Cold Stone Creamery dates back to 1988 when Susan and Donald Sutherland opened their first location in Tempe, Arizona. They were dreaming about creating a product that was a bridge between soft serve and hard-packed. So, they created a signature recipe that changed the way clients see this frozen dessert.

This was just the beginning of the company’s expansion and more stores were opened in many worldwide locations such as Turkey, Japan, Kenya, Thailand, Mexico, Brazil, and many more.
Entrepreneur magazine voted Cold Stone Creamery as the fastest-growing franchisee in 2006. The next year, in 2007, the company merged with Kahala Corp. They wanted to improve the company’s yearly appeal and so started to co-brand Cold Stone Creamery with other companies. Two years later, in 2009 Cold Stone Creamery co-branded with Tim Hortons, a Canadian coffee chain, and made plans to open one hundred new stores.
Its first European store was opened in Copenhagen, Denmark in the year 2008. The following year, in 2009, two new locations were opened in Ontario and Mississauga, Canada.

Our review
Cold Stone Creamery has the mission to create a happy, relaxing environment in addition to their signature made-to-order dish. Basically, they guarantee that you will leave their shop with a smile on your face. The staff is welcoming and is smiling always. Moreover, the stores are clean, with comfortable seats, ambient lighting, and warm hues.
Cold Stone Creamery’s main selling product is its made-to-order creation. First of all, you will have to choose between a wide variety of flavors such as mango, cake batter, Irish cream, French vanilla, cheesecake, sweet cream, mint, chocolate, and many more. After that, a staff member will hand chop your selection with your choice of mix-ins like raspberries, caramel, peanut butter, chocolate chips, or gummy bears. In the end, this tasty mix will be put in one of their waffle cones, ready to be eaten.
Also, you can choose between a wide variety of sweet treats such as shakes and ice blended drinks, ice cream cakes and pies, smoothies, cookies sandwiches, hot stone desserts, and sundaes. In case you are going to a Cold Stone Creamery shop for the first time and you don’t know what to order as there are so many available options, you should try their peanut butter cup perfection. As for the sizes, these range from the 5oz ‘like it’ cup to 8oz ‘love it’ cup and a 12oz ‘got to have it’ cup. Expect to spend anywhere between $6 and $8 for one of these cups.
Cold Stone Creamery has been an important player in the ice cream industry for more than 25 years. They set apart from their competitors by using only fresh ingredients and providing superior, made-to-order ice cream products.
