Brand History

The first Burgerville restaurant was opened in 1961, in Vancouver, Washington by George Propstra. All Burgerville restaurants use only wind power energy and starting in 2007 they composted their waste, leading to a reduction of 85% of their waste footprint. Moreover, in 2009 they took the initiative to let the bicyclists use their drive-thru, a decision that their competitors didn’t take yet.

The company still provides tasty food even though they continued to commit to sustainability and health. Their great service and food were appreciated and rewarded, so in 2003 they won the Gourmet Magazine’s ‘Freshest Food in the Country’ Award and in 2007 the Food Network’s ‘Better Burger Award.

Our review

The interior design of all Burgerville restaurants respects the same classic theme with traditional diner table and chair set up, neon lighting, bright colors, and black and white floors. Dining in one of these restaurants will make you feel like you are in the 1950s. All of the restaurants are very clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

You shouldn’t be surprised to notice that every item from their menu is really tasty, especially seeing that they use only locally sourced, healthy, fresh ingredients. There is a wide range of hamburgers you can choose from such as pepper bacon cheese, original, Tillamook cheese, original cheese, colossal cheese, and classic. Though, the customers’ favorite is the pepper bacon cheeseburger.

In case you don’t feel like eating a burger and want to try something else, Burgerville’s menu also includes fish, chicken, and turkey sandwiches, vegetarian options, halibut fish and chips, different sides, chicken tenders, and various salads.
