Cook Out is a fast-food restaurant chain primarily founded in the Eastern and Southeastern United States. Brand History

Morris Reaves opened the first Cook Out restaurant in the 1980s on Randleman Road in Greensboro, North Carolina. The current owner of the company is still Morris Reaves and the Chief Executive Officer is his son Jeremy Reaves. By the end of the year 1998, there were other ten Cook Out restaurants opened in the Raleigh/Durham area in North Carolina. But it didn’t stop here and the brand opened more locations in the Charlotte Metro Area in the following years. The restaurant built its good reputation thanks to the great customer service and quality food. This reputation led to the creation of a loyal customer base in the Southeastern area.

On July 30, 2010, the first restaurant was opened outside of the state of North Carolina, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In the same year, two more locations were opened in Orangeburg and Clemson, South Carolina. The company continued its expansion and new restaurants were opened in Harrisonburg, Virginia; Columbia, South Carolina; Lynchburg, Virginia; Radford, Virginia and Blacksburg, Virginia. Also, the restaurant expanded in other states such as Maryland, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

The restaurant chain is constantly expanding and more locations are opened in different areas from the Southeast of the United States. Cook Out menu includes American fast-food favorites like char-grilled burgers, chicken, hot dogs, Cook Out trays, Lexington style barbecue, side orders, cheesecake, floats, and milkshakes. For a burger, you will have to pay anywhere between $1.5 and $5, and you will be able to choose from Steak Style, Cook Out Style, Cheddar Style, and West Style burgers. As for a hot dog, the price is anywhere between $1.5 and $3, and these include Cheese Dog, Cook Out Style Dog, Mexi Dog, Slaw Dog, and Bacon Cheddar Dog.

For a chicken Char-Grilled sandwich, you will have to pay around $5 and these include Chicken Strip Club Sandwich, Original Style, Chicken Strip Sandwich, BBQ Style, Cheese Style, and Spicy Chicken Breast Fillet. Also, you can eat quesadillas at this restaurant, and it costs around $3. Barbecue comes either as Lexington-style barbecue plate or homemade slaw and Texas Pete sandwich.
