Brand History

Peter Piper Pizza was founded by Anthony “Tony” Cavolo. He opened his first restaurant in 1973, in Glendale, Arizona. Nowadays there are more than 140 locations in the United States and Mexico.

The company expanded outside Glendale in 1980, when they opened new locations in the Phoenix and Tucson markets.

In 1991 the first Peter Piper Pizza restaurant was opened south of the border in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, and today there are 48 locations all over the state.

Peter Piper Pizza bought its hometown concurrent Pistol Pete’s Pizza in 1995. Peter Piper Inc. was independent until 1992 when it was purchased by The Venture West Group. In 2007, the restaurant chain was sold again to ACON Investments.

Obviously, Peter Piper Pizza’s strong menu item is pizza. Their standard handcrafted crusts are customers’ favorites. Not only pizza is very appreciated, but also the pasta dishes and the wings.

Be prepared to spend anywhere between $8 and $22 for a pizza, depending on the type and size. You have the option to build your own pizza or you can choose between the Chicago Classic, the California Veggie, the New York 3 Cheese, the Werx, the 5 Meat Supreme, or the Hearty Hawaiian.
