Located just one-fourth of a mile from the Huntington Beach Pier and the Pacific Ocean,  the SeaCliff Country Club is one of the most beautiful golf clubs in California.

The club was first opened in 1966. This was a public facility until 1984 and now it is the only private golf course and country club you can find in Huntington Beach, California. 

How Much Does the Seacliff Country Club Membership Cost?

The cost of a membership at SeaCliff Country Club consists of a one-time initiation fee which is around $110,000 and each month you have to pay around $1,400 for the monthly dues, depending on the type of membership. These sums are just some estimates and you will have to contact the club directly to find out the exact costs.

According to an article from LA Times magazine, the initiation fee at the Huntington Club in 1996 was around $25,000, but today these fees are much higher.

Types of Membership

Social

If you choose the social membership type you will have access to the jacuzzi, clubhouse, pool, and fitness center and you will be invited to the social events, as well.

Junior

If you are under 40 years old then this type of membership is designed especially for you. This option is available for both tennis and golf membership.

Tennis

With the tennis membership type, you will have access to all of the 16 tennis courts, jacuzzi, clubhouse, pool, fitness center, and, also get invites at the club’s social events.

Full Golf

This membership option is 50% transferable and offers you access to play golf at the 18-hole golf course, fitness center, practice amenities, and swimming pool, and invites to all the events organized there. As a Full Golf member, you have the possibility to enroll in the Platinum Club. This way you will take advantage of some extra benefits such as merchandise discounts at the pro shop, complimentary clinics, and special event pricing.

SeaCliff Country Club Amenities

The size of this completely natural golf course is 6,935 yards. The SeaCliff golf course was originally designed by Press Maxwell.

Some of the golf-related amenities are two chipping areas equipped with bunkers and contour grass, a fully stocked pro shop, a large practice putting green, and a driving race.

Appropriate golf attire is required at all times on the course and in practice areas for both men and women. Collared shirts, golf slacks or shorts, and golf shoes are mandatory for golfers.

If you don’t like golf you can enjoy playing tennis on one of those 16 tennis courts, 10 of which are lit, or go to the swimming pool complex or to the fitness center. Also, throughout the year a lot of events are organized, in which you can take part.

Regarding the dining options, you can use either the members’ grill or a fine dining room.

The SeaCliff Country Club was bought in 2002 by Huntington Beach, CA-O Hill Properties for the sum of $19.1 million.

What are the extra costs?

We already mentioned above that the private club organizes a lot of social events throughout the year, but in order to participate, you will have to pay a fee. You also have the possibility to bring someone from outside but you’ll have to pay a guest fee.

Also, you will have to pay an extra cost for all the lessons, clinics, tournaments, leagues, and teams.

Important things to consider

According to the official website of the club, there is no assessment fee and the members are allowed to transfer membership deposits to other clubs that are affiliated with Club Corp.

SeaCliff CC is an excellent place for your next private event as well. You can set up an unforgettable wedding or even a conference in this place. The SeaCliff Room is the perfect choice for an event with up to 250 guests. This room is highly customizable with recessed lighting, high ceilings, and neutral décor.

In case you have to organize a smaller and more intimate event with up to 150 guests then the Pacific Room is an excellent option.
